Panhellenic Committees
The Panhellenic Council utilizes a committee system to plan events and create a positive environment for our houses. The committees are composed of members from all of the houses. As a member of a committee, you are able to make a positive contribution to Greek Life through planning of events, seminars, newsletters, and community service. As a committee head, you are in charge of keeping track of the committees projects and endeavors. This is a great leadership position and a great way to be active. The committees are listed below along with a description.
Bylaws
- Will consist of one person from each house
- Review bylaws to ensure that the rules are up-to-date and in accordance with the current the National Panhellenic UNANIMOUS AGREEMENTS.
Community Service
- Coordinate at least one community service event for the Rensselaer Panhellenic Association member sororities.
- Coordinate at least one fundraising event involving the Rensselaer Panhellenic Association member sororities. The proceeds shall be donated to a charity of the choice of the Rensselaer Panhellenic Executive Board.
Greek Relations
- Coordinate Greek Week events with the Interfraternity
- Coordinate a campus wide Greek promotional event, such as a Lip ‘Sync or a Greek God & Goddess Contest. Proceeds will be donated to a charity of the Rensselaer Panhellenic Board’s choice.
Public Relations
- Compose at least two Panhellenic newsletters to be distributed to delegates via Vice President Executive.
- Coordinate with other committees in publicizing their events including Greek Week.
- Assist Public Relations Board member with designing the Greek Bulletin Board.
Social
- Coordinate at least one mixer between the Rensselaer Panhellenic Association member sororities.
- Coordinate an event involving sports or other athletic endeavors for the Rensselaer Panhellenic Association member sororities.
